Kansas man accused of transporting methamphetamine

 JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on drug allegations. 

Just before 8:30a.m. Oct. 6, Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Mercedes E350 on 150th Road, just west of U.S. Highway 75 in rural Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

  Deputies conducted a probable cause search and located illegal drug contraband.  The driver, Tyler Ryan Simmons, 46, of Topeka was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
