
TOPEKA—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal pedestrian accident have identified the victim as 41-year-old Dennis Leroy McFeeters Jr., 41, of Topeka, according to Police Lt. Edward Stanley.
Just after 7a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the area of 21st and Fillmore for a report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian accident, according to Police Lt. Joe Perry.
Preliminary investigation indicates that McFeeters, Jr. was in the street in the area of 21st and Fillmore when he was struck by a passing motorist. Several additional vehicle also struck him.
First responders pronounced McFeeters Jr. dead at the scene, according to Perry.

The driver of vehicle, Colby Rajewski, 18, of Topeka turned himself into the Law Enforcement Center. As a result of the investigation, Rajewski was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on a requested charge of Failure to stop at Accident resulting in great bodily harm.

21st street between Clay and Western was close. Police have not released the name of the victim.
