JOHNSON COUNTY —A Kansas City area man is going to prison for a deadly Kansas crash.

Last week, Judge Christiina Gyllenborg sentenced 24-year-old Uconn Comemann of Grain Valley to 25-years in prison for a fatal crash while he was fleeing police, according to the Johnson County District Attorney's office.

In May, Coleman pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, aggravated battery, fleeing and eluding a police officer, and leaving the scene of a crash.

In June of 2023 a speeding Ford Fusion driven by Coleman struck a Honda Accord driven by 19-year-old Benny Kleczka who was stopped at the intersection of Antioch and Shawnee Mission Parkway.  A woman in the Honda was also injured.
