Police: Wanted Kan. man found hiding in walls of basement

FINNEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects after an incident at a southwest Kansas residence.

On February 24, police served an arrest search warrant for 38-year-old Luis Adrian Molina of Garden City at 1208 A Street, according to a media release.

During a search of the residence, Molina was discovered in a confined space within the walls of the basement. He resisted arrest but was subsequently taken into custody. Molina was found to be in possession of multiple controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and a stolen firearm.

Molina is being held on requested charges that include Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Stimulant,  Traffic Contraband into a Correctional Facility, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and Assault of a law enforcement officer (LEO) and Interference with LEO.

During the investigation, Daisy Hernandez, 29, Garden City,  was arrested and jailed on a requested charge of Interference with LEO.
