BARBER COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 2a.m. Friday in Barber County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Ford F350 driven by Aiden James Guy, 22, Hardtner, was northbound on U.S. 281 one half mile west of Medicine Lodge. The driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The pickup continued Northbound across U.S. 160 onto private property and struck a 2007 mobile trailer that was legally parked.
Guy was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Larrison Mortuary. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
