SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities investigating a homicide in Topeka have made an arrest.

identified the victim as 19-year-old&nbsp; Khristopher A. L. Brown of Topeka, according to Police Lt. Donna Eubanks

Just before 8 p.m. March 14, police&nbsp;&nbsp;responded to the 1300 block SE 8th for a hit-and-run accident, according to Police Lt. Donna Eubanks. Officers located 19-year-old Khristopher A. L. Brown, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

First responders pronounced him deceased at the scene.&nbsp;&nbsp;

After a 3 month investigation, police on Thursday transported a 17-year old boy from Topeka to the Shawnee County Juvenile Department of Corrections on requested charges of Murder in 1st Degree, Distribution of marijuana within 1000’ of a school and Use of communication facility in commission of a felony drug violation.
