3 suspects jailed in Kan. had 22 iPhones after series of store thefts

JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a series of thefts from Walmart stores in Kansas and other states and have three women in custody.

On November 9, sheriff's deputies were alerted to a possible theft in process at the Walmart Supercenter, 427 Arizona in Holton, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Deputies stopped the suspect vehicle, a black 2015 Dodge Charger east of Arizona Avenue on Banner Road. They took three women in the vehicle into custody.  Deputies located items believed to have been taken from the store as well as other items believed to have been stolen from other Walmart stores including 22 iPhones believed to have been stolen from a Houston, Texas Walmart.

All three women remain in the Jackson County Jail.   Jovanna Richae Davis, 25, of Galveston, Texas is being held on requested charges of possession of stolen property, theft, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and drug paraphernalia.  Davis also had outstanding felony warrants for theft and burglary out of Texas and Arkansas. 

Desiree Glenntrice Dunford, 27, of Galveston, Texas is being held on requested charges of theft of property.

Valisa Monee Allen, 25, of Galveston, Texas is being held on requested charges that include possession of stolen property, theft, and criminal damage to property.  Allen also had an outstanding felony warrant from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office in Galveston, Texas.
