KDOT: Wildfire contained I-70 now open at Wilson

ELLSWORTH COUNTY —A wildfire that closed portions of Interstate 70 is under control and the highway is back open, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Crews remain at the scene to water down hotspots.

The highway between Kansas 232 and KS 14, 6 to 9 miles east of the Dorrance area was also temporarily closed because of a wildfire.

ELLSWORTH COUNTY —Interstate 70 is closed in both directions near Wilson, mile marker 206 to mile marker 210 due to a wildfire and reduced visbility due to smoke, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. Use alternate route.
