
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a deadly Independence Day shooting at a gas station in Kansas City have identified the man who died as 41-year-old Ronald Kendall.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to a shooting at 8505 Woodland in Kansas City, according to Police Captain Corey Carlisle.
First responders located Kendall inside the gas station unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers performed life saving measures. EMS arrived on scene and declared the him deceased.
The second victim, a teenage boy, was shot and transported to an area hospital in stable condition. Police did not provide an update on the teen and have not reported any suspect details.
