RENO COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 9:30p.m. Tuesday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Jeep Liberty driven by Gary N. Lane, 52, Hutchinson, was southbound&nbsp;on Van Buren.

&nbsp;The Jeep traveled off&nbsp; the east side of the road through a grassy field and crossed 2nd Avenue

The Jeep struck a building at 635 W 2nd Avenue and caught on fire.

Lane was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Sedgwick Forensic Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
