HAYS – The Hays Larks left the bases loaded in a tie ball game, in the bottom of the ninth inning and finished in a 5-5 tie with the Kansas Cannons in a non-league contest Tuesday night at Larks Park.

The Larks out-hit the Cannons 12-9, and all but one Lark in the lineup had at least one hit. But they loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning with no outs, but they failed to produce, resulting in the tie game.

Brady Kreutzer homered and collected a pair of hits in his Larks debut. Jackson Babcock walked and drove in a pair of runs.

Larks’ starter Keevyn Goss allowed just one run, on two hits, with seven strikeouts in four innings. But got the no decision.
