SALINA ā The TMP-Marian softball team had no problem bouncing back from their first loss of the season. The Monarchs cruised to a pair of run-rule wins against Sacred Heart Monday, 18-0 and 18-1. TMP is now 21-1 on the season.
Game 1: TMP-Marian 18, Sacred Heart 0 (4 innings)
Brynn Rebel threw a no-hitter with four strikeouts and one walk.
The Monarchs scored two in the first, five in the second, five in the third and six in the fourth.
Brooke Koeningsman had three of the Monarchs 18 hits, all doubles, and drove in three runs. Hannah Rose, Bria Windholz, Addison Watson and Bridget Feldt all drove in two runs.
Game 2: TMP-Marian 18, Sacred Heart 1 (5 innings)
Bria Windholz scattered six hits over five innings with nine strikeouts and no
walks.
After a scoreless first innings, the Monarchs score twice in the second, once in the third then nine in the fourth and six in the fifth
Brynn Schoepf went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs. Brooke Koeningsman had two hits including a triple and drove in two and scored three times. Brynn Rebel added a pair of RBIs.
