STANTON COUNTY—Authorities are investigating the cause of a fatal home explosion and fire in Johnson City in southwest Kansas.

Just after 10a.m. Saturday, fire crews responded to the explosion at a home in the 300 Block of Lake Street in Johnson City, according to Stanton County Sheriff Jason Stewart.

First responders found the body of a woman who died. An air-medical transport flew a man from the home to a Wichita hospital for treatment, according to Stewart.
