FINNEY COUNTY—A Kansas teen died in an accident just after 4p.m. Monday in Finney County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Peterbilt semi driven by Craig W. Potts, 35, Garden City, was eastbound on U.S. 50 just east of North Campus Drive.
The semi traveled left of center and collided head-on with a westbound 2013 Fiat 500 driven by Cassandra K. Linder, 16, Garden City. Both vehicles came to rest north of the roadway.
EMS transported both drivers to St. Catherine Hospital where Linder was pronounced deceased. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
