DODGE CITY – The Hays High boys tennis team won their second-straight Western Athletic Conference title Monday. The Indians were led by Kale Schwien and Ken Shaffer who both went 4-0 to win No. 1 and No. 2 Singles respectively.
Mason Schleicher and Preston Parr went 3-1 and finished in a three-way tie for first in No. 1 Doubles. Christian Miller and Madox Zimmerman went 2-2 and placed third in No. 2 Doubles.
Schwien was named the WAC Player of the Year and Kayla Brown was named WAC Coach of the Year.
