🎾 HHS boys win first WAC title in 22 years

LIBERAL - For first time in 22 years and only the third time ever, the Hays High boys tennis team is Western Athletic Conference champs.

The Indians had a clean sweep Monday in Liberal. Colin Clark won No. 1 Singles, Ken Shaffer No. 2 Singles, Xavier Catura and Kale Schwien No. 1 Doubles and Henry Fitzhum and Carsen Riat No. 2 Doubles. All went 4-0 on the day.

Colin Clark was named the WAC Player of the Year and Kayla Brown the WAC Coach of the Year.

It's the first WAC title for the HHS boys since 2022. Their other title came in 1986.
